NK Amethyst Lip Stick = NARS Fast Ride (Fall 2009) Dupe?

NARS recently gave us a sneak-peak @ their Fall 2009 Collection.

"The NARS woman may have a very classical look," says Fran├žois Nars, "but she still likes to stay on the edge, and remain in touch with fashion."

This seemingly dark purple may intimidate, but swipe it across the lips and its true shade is revealed: a sheer mulberry. A color that falls somewhere between an intense plum wine stain, and a moody, deep violet.

The glossy grape hue is a playful, cool alternative to more common dark lip color options.

I was intrigued by the new Fast Ride lipstick. ($24)
It's described as a sheer mulberry.
I KNEW I could dupe it with something in my collection.

I stumbled upon
NK lipstick in Amethyst $1.00
NYX Long Lipliner Pencil in Prune $1.00

I like shimmer, so I added Milani BEE-tiful BuzzWorthy Lip Gloss.

What do you think?

  1. girl the lip products and swatches are banging, where can I find NK because I cant find them in local store's

  2. thank you sis! :O) NK is produced in NYC. They are primarily distributed on the east coast. Although some of my makeup buds in the mid-west find them as well. I generally find mine in the ethnic beauty supply stores. NK, Nicka, Nicka K, Absolute...all the same manufacturer. HTH
