$1 for Makeup?
Having been inundated with various news images of the devastation following the earthquake in Haiti, I was moved to want to help in some way. Understandably, this is a beauty blog, but we need to take the time out from the superficial to reach back & address real issues that matter.

We blow $1 on makeup without a second thought when this amount has been recorded as a day's wage for the residents of Haiti. The infrastructure is responsible for it's being the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

There are all kinds of other disreputable organizations syphoning monies intended for the victims of this tragedy's basic needs. Please be judicious in your choice of organizations through whom you want to provide assistance, so the people can actually get the contributions.
