Look Of The Day - Penny

In my family, everyone has a nickname. One of my family members was dubbed "Penny" by one of my great-aunts.
This was because of her copper skintone. I look a lot like her.

I was inspired by a couple of looks from YouTube by lilpumpkinpie.
I had insomnia last night, so I watched quite a few of her videos.
She's incredibly talented.

  1. You look really, really pretty! I went to the beauty depot yesterday and looked at thos nk eyeshadows, but passed was thinking they might be too frosty, shimmery for me. How is the application them?

As always love the jewelry :)

  2. @ rmcandlelight...Thanks so much for the compliment. You couldn't see, but I had on an orange fluted linen skirt. A vestige from my days working @ Ashley Stewart. I also had on a pair of copper colored braided strappy flat sandals.

some of the nk shadows are matte. 3008 (beige-ish color looks great on top of soft ochre), some are more shimmery than others. did u get a chance to see some the swatches?

many of them are kind of a satin finish.
I went to that BSS today w/ the DH & the lady was really nice. Maybe she was having a bad day that time. You know I couldn't stay out of there girl. LOL I picked up a couple pairs of earrings. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  5. @ rmcandlelight...Thanks for the compliments. You are not losing your mind. LOL I inadvertantly omitted the lip closeup from the original post. I love NARS PERIOD! LOL I applied mine @ about noon today. It's still on. My secrets...
    1. i use a cream blush as a base.
    2. add the powder, blend it the way i want it, somex highlight.
    3. set entire face with MAC Transparent loose powder. let that settle in for a couple of mins.
    4. spray MUFE Mist & Fix on top of the entire face. Blot with tissue.
This also works for the elf Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder. A lot of people love the initial effects, they hate that it doesn't last. If you have fix+, I guess it would do the same thing. Fix+ burns my sensitive skin, so I use it only for dampening my e/s. HTH
