Milani Powder Blush Collection

Indoor Lighthing With Flash

Indoor Lighting - No Flash

Makeup Boards tout Milani Blushes as dupes for high end Blushes

Milani Powder Blush LUMINOUS = NARS Orgasm
Milani Mineral Powder Blush MAI-TAI = MAC Hipness
Milani Mineral Powder Blush SUNSET BEACH = MAC Raizin

On my MAC NC50 complexion, Luminous barely shows.
I think it makes a pretty highlight.
I prefer the matte mineral powder formulations.
They are highly pigmented. When I set them with transparent powder, and Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix, they last longer than if I used nothing. The general consensus is they last about three hours when worn alone. I need to play with the newer additions to my collection to get a true estimate of staying power. Generally I use a cream base first for all of my powders.
I have just one more color to add to my collection for it to be complete, Sweet Rose.

Do you own any of these blushes?

Repairing Damaged Eyeshadow

Shattered Eyeshadow

I was crushed when I accidentally dropped my Jesse's Girl MOONBEAM baked eyeshadow.
They are FRAGILE!
For the longest time, I was reluctant to repair it because I did not want to lose the cool marble effect.
The cracked shadow was messy.

I used my Coastal Scents EZ Press. I like it, but I hate the bottle top.
It's a click button dispenser like a shampoo bottle.
I would have preferred an eyedropper for more accurate formulation when pressing pigments etc.

Undamaged and New Eyeshadows

I used

Alcohol (to sterilize the stainless Steel Spatula and 5gram jar)
Coastal Scents EZ Press
A Sheet of Plastic
An Empty Vitamin Bottle Mouth To Attempt To Form A Dome Shape
Patience

Scraped Shattered Eyeshadow from Pan with Stainless Steel Spatula

Used Stainless Steel Spatula To Further Crush the Shattered Eyeshadow ...Goodbye Pretty Marble *sad face*

Added Enough EZ Press Until the Loose Shadow Gathered Into a Paste On the Side Of the Container

Stainless Steel Spatula Used to Form the Dome Shape

Clean Plastic and Vitamin Bottle Top Used to Shape The Shadow Further

50% Off Mineral Eye Makeup at About Face Cosmetics (theshespace)

"BIG CHANGE IS IN THE WIND!!!!

After so many of our clients coming to ask and requesting that we please put our pigments in sifter topped jars we have finally decided to take your advice. The amount of product will be exactly the same, the only difference is that there will be a sifter top on the jar. Based on your feedback, this new packaging will help prevent jars from spilling and keep your product safe and sound.
So, in an effort to say good-bye to all of our former packaging, we have marked all of our individual pigments down to just $2.50 (this sale is for individual eye colors only...if you are looking to order colors in a quad, duo, etc. please order them individually)

The packaging change will not go into effect until after the new year so this sale will give us a chance to clear out all of our non-sifter jars and get ready to bring in the new packaging. This sale will end on January 1st when we will go back to our normal $4.50 price point for full size jars.

Please don't forget that we will be on vacation and not processing any orders from December 24th through January 3rd

Ordering: We have already marked all of the pigments on this page down to the $2.50 price point, so go right ahead and order from this page.

****savvy shopper club members, you will NOT be getting any further discount on the price of the pigments but your shipping will still be free****"

MAC Style Black Mineralized e/s Dupe

It is difficult to capture the quality of the mineral with the camera. I was a little disappointed that the minerals did not appear as shimmery as on the website.
In person, they seemed to have more of the matte black base than the shimmer.
They were a bargain at half price. Trust and believe, they will not go to waste, I'll probably cut them with other minerals and use them as liners.

kawaii Overdose Minerals

Kawaii means "cute" in Japanese.

I learned about these minerals via YouTube.

I was excited to try because they appeared so pigmented on video.

I purchased them from thecuteysakura's website.

http://www.angelfire.com/punk/sakura_blossoms/

Pros:
- Highly Pigmented
- Micronized Minerals
- 100% free of oil, talc and alcohol, and perfume.
- Can be used dry, or wet and also as liners!

Cons:
- Not sure if I really got 5grams., (do minerals weigh MORE than regular e/s?)
- Shipping was EXORBITANT, considering I paid $10 & the USPS cost of mailing was less that $2.(Odd, since we reside in the same state) I would have preferred it be called a "Processing & Handling" fee. If you care to give it a try, go for it. Maybe you will have a different experience. CAVEAT EMPTOR
