Nivea Care Soaps

I was able to purchase these soaps from a store called Five Below. They were $1.25 for each bar.
I just wanted to see if they were any good. I am still reviewing them.

Have you ever seen these soaps?

Neutrogena Naturals - REVIEW

I was looking for an affordable alternative to my beloved Philosophy PURITY Made Simple.
Neutrogena Naturals looked like a great option.

The company promises
"Clean, smooth, beautiful skin with no harsh chemical sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes or phthalates"

The only products I did not purchase were the facial cleanser that is not creamy and the face and body bar.

PRICE
I found the products to be super affordable ranging in price from $7.49 to $13.99.
I was able to get some of them on a BOGO
(Buy 1 Get 1 Free or 1/2 Price) from Rite Aid.

AVAILABILITY
They are also not hard to find. I have seen them at Target, Walgreens, CVS, and Walmart.
You can also purchase these products directly from  neutrogena.com.

fresh cleansing makeup remover
$7.49/6 fl oz.
This face wash contains natural salicylic acid found in Willowbark bionutrients to penetrate deep into pores to detoxify and help remove dirt, oil and makeup, while rinsing clean without pore-clogging residue.

I found this product to be a bit stripping.
It definitely gets the skin clean, however, it can feel a little bit tight after use. It does sting the eyes, which is a drawback. A little bit goes a long way. This cleanser foams up. I love that!

multi-vitamin nourshing moisturizer
$13.99/3 fl oz.
Replenishes essential skin nutrients and provides continuous moisture nourishment throughout the day. Fortified with vitamins B, C, E and antioxidant omega bionutrients, this moisturizer is clinically proven to boost skin's defense against dullness and roughness. Leaves skin naturally radiant, healthier and younger looking.

This product feels thick at first, but absorbs easily into the skin. I hate the squeeze tube because you can easily expel too much product. Excess gunks up on the interior lid. I do love it for everyday use.

purifying pore scrub
$7.49/4  oz
Gently scrubs away impurities and dull, dead skin cells that can build up in pores to improve complexion for fresh, clear skin. Suitable for even acne prone skin. Gentle enough for daily use. Won't clog pores.

On days when I want to exfoliate, I use this alone without the fresh cleansing makeup remover.
It does sloph off dead skin. There are tiny jojoba beads in this product. My skin felt fresh and clean after use, without over scrubbing.

multi-vitamin nourishing night cream
$13.99/ 1.7 oz
Nourishes skin with vitamins B, C, E and anti-oxidant omega bionutrients. This moisturizing cream is clinically proven to boost skin's defense against dullness and roughness, leaving it naturally radiant, healthier and younger looking today and in the future.

I do not use this every single night. I found that if I used it more than three times a week, I suffered from breakouts.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
These products smell like candy. I was worried about the scent breaking me out. No problems. I would have rather if they didn't have a smell. I do like this line. It is a part of my everyday regimen.
A couple of the teenagers in my home have also started using these products with good results.
I will definitely purchase again.

What is missing from this line? An astringent. I use Dickinson's Witch Hazel, but I would have bought one from this line to try if it existed.

Have you tried any of these products?

Clairsonic MIA - Update

Hold Up! Wait A Minute!
I treated myself to this. I bought a 2nd brush head for the hubby.
Believe it or not, as much as I love this product, he is all over it.
He actually does two cycles with every wash. Huh? No wonder my batterylife is so diminished!

I need to buy him his own. Better yet, I'll give him this when my pink one arrives. This is very unexpected.

Clairsonic is tearing my pockets up! But I love it!
I'm still testing this. I want to give it a full 30 day trial before I post my own review.

My Thoughts:

I decided to purchase a sample of this product from Sephora to use along with my Clairsonic Mia.

- It is very gentle on my sensitive skin.
- It has a very pleasant smell.
- It does not produce suds.
- It makes my skin feel really clean.
- When I follow with my Olay Toner, I have little to no residue of makeup or dirt on the cotton pad.
- My skin type is combination. Mostly dry & oily in the t-zone. My hubby has oily skin. We both started using this product at the same time. We both have experienced the same results.
- We are so impressed that I am going to order the 32 oz. bottle with our next Sephora purchase.

I give this product 4 out of 5 stars. One less star for the price. MAMA MIA!

Micropeeling Facial Cleansing 7piece Cloth Set with Pouch REVIEW

Rid yourself of dry, dead skin with this set of micropeeling cleansing cloths.
The tiny fibers gently slough away dead skin, revealing a smoother, more radiant complexion. An absolute must-have for those who are serious about skin care.

•Laundry bag/pouch: 100% polyester
•Cloths/mitts: 80% polyester/20% polyamide
•Machine wash, tumble dry
•Made in China
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Thoughts:

I have struggled with flakey skin all of my life. After having children, my skin changed from dry to combination. (oily in the t-zone). It's a well known fact that foundation just doesn't look right over flakes. I decided to invest in this set.
These towels are nothing short of amazing. I love to use them to remove my makeup before I use my Clairsonic Mia. They even remove mascara. I just wet the cloth.
No cleaner is needed. I haven't washed them yet, but I was so excited about the results I just had to share. I am ordering another set. If you order these, I would suggest you not order the white. In the comments section on QVC, a woman was mortified that housekeeping accidentally scooped her set during a hotel stay. OUCH!

I thought this would be a great investment, over buying disposable face cleansing cloths from MAC, Olay, Neutrogena or Equate! Wooo Hooo!

I only wish they came in MORE colors!

I give this product 5 out of 5 stars!

Got Flakes? - Take Care of Your Skin!

Brrrr! Temperatures in my area have dipped below normal.
You may feel that familiar crack of dry skin.
I love love love my too hot showers. I know, that's terrible right?
I'm working on lowering the temperature gradually because I know that HOT water is terrible for my skin. The skin is the largest organ of our bodies. It is a marvel of design. Like a wetsuit. It is essential to drink enough water during colder months. It is also imperative to properly moisturize after showers & baths. Many of the products we use on our skin deplete it of natural oils. These need to be replenished. My current routine includes the use of some critical components.

1. A Korean Washcloth. I got mine from Walmart. If you are fortunate enough to have an Asian grocery store in your area, you may be able to find these. It is similiar to a kitchen scrubber sponge. The mesh kind, not the brillo type. I exfoliate DAILY. It is made of nylon & feels like the a cat's tongue. You may be able to find these on ebay.

2. A Gentle Cleansing Agent: I'm using Bath & Body Works discontinued works BREATHE collection. (got this from an outlet mall on the low)
It is a soap free formula. From time to time, I use Dove, Cucumber Melon bar.
I'm interested in trying Dove Nutrium.

3. Superior Moisturizing Routine: Olive Oil most closely resembles our skin's natural oils. When I get out of the shower, I use a blend of olive oils. Mine has regular & extra virgin olive oil together. After that, I break off a piece of raw shea butter & the warmth from my hands melts it. I concentrate on rough patches like ankles, knees & elbows. I also add some to my eczema areas. Warning, you may feel like a NAP after this treatment. There is nothing like a good rubdown to release endorphins.

4. DETOX & Supplement: Sugar is the enemy. Did you know that it causes our cells to age? YES! I drink a cup of Dandelion Root Tea every morning.
I drink it without any sweets. This is a detoxifying tea. I also have increased my intake of fresh fruits & veggies. I am working hard to be consistent with my intake of essential suppliments. I feel this is critical to great looking skin. I take Omega-3, & Flax Seed Oil for this. I have seen a marked difference in the smoothness & softness of my skin as a result of this routine. I hope you find it helpful.

Seabreeze Naturals and Boots No.7 Review

Update!
This stuff is WACK! I should have tried it out for a longer period of time before doing a review.

It ended up breaking me out.
The only thing that I am able to use without problems is the Boots No. 7 & the SeaBreeze Toner. The other 2 SeaBreeze products are worthless to me.
