MAC HEAUX and RIRI BOY Swatches

This may be my very last lip swatch. Hubby goes back and forth as to whether or not he wants my lips online.
This has also factored in to my lack of posts. UGH!

On a side note, I am eyeing a Lands' End Sweater the same color as the HEAUX lippy. UGH!

Do you ever match your lipstick with your outfit?

Does your significant other object to your posting photos of yourself online?

Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick Swatches

Wet N Wild Megalast Lipsticks are my second favorite drugstore brand. My lips feel as if I've received a moisturizing treatment after having worn them. They are very affordable. I am not in love with the packaging. It is very cheap. However, I can live with that because of the rich color payoff.

Check out my swatches!

Revlon Lipstick Swatches

Recently I took advantage of 30% discount at drugstore.com to round out my Revlon Lipstick Collection.
I think I am finished! I love their matte formula as it is very pigmented and does not leave my lips dry like some other brands. Revlon lipsticks are definitely my favorite drugstore brand of lipstick! I love their sleek packaging. I love that they are readily available and affordable.

Check out the swatches!

LORAC PRO Eyeshadow Palette

I have been drooling over this palette for several months. After careful consideration, I just decided to buy it.
I already own several neutral palettes. However, this is an outstanding value. The quality of LORAC eyeshadows is outstanding. They are extremely pigmented. You do not need to use a ton of product to get good color pay off.

The case is waxcardboard. It comes with a mirror and a sample of LORAC eyeshadow primer.
I consider it a great value because of the quality and number of shadows contained therein. It seems like it would be great for travel. It sells for $42
The palette contains an equal number of matte and shimmery eyeshadows. There are sixteen in total.
They are very creamy in texture. The Taupe and hte mauve barely show up on my skin tone. I had to swatch them twice. The black is not the blackest I have ever seen, but it is suitable for deepening my crease.

Left to right...White, Cream, Taupe, Light Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, Black

Left to right...Nude, Champagne, Gold, Light Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple, Slate

I LOVE THIS PALETTE! I am so glad I finally broke down and purchased it. I got mine from HSN.
It was sold out on Sephora's website.

Nails Of The Day (NOTD) - Sinful Colors - CINDERELLA

I picked up this beautiful nail polish over a month ago. I need to buy a backup as I have two teen aged daughters who also agree that it's gorgeous!

I got tons of compliments the first time I wore this.
A lady asked me what color it was.
When I told her, she asked me if it made me
"feel like Cinderella."
My reply was, "No, not really."
*laughing* I just thought it was pretty.

This is the second time that I've worn it.
Duo Chromes are mesmerizing!
I see gold, pink and purple reflects.
They are tiny.

Base: China Glaze Strong Adhesion
Color: Cinderella x3
Top Coat: Seche Vite
This was difficult to apply.
It was streaky and felt like a flaky nail polish.
I do feel it is certainly worth the effort to get the true color as shown in the bottle.

May Favorites

HAIR
I have been sporting Short Human Hair Wigs.
They are no fuss, tangle free and give me the edgy looks that I prefer.
I gravitated more towards my Beshe HH Vega shorty do. Love it!
Beshe HH Vega 1b

SKIN CARE
For my face, I have been using my Microfiber Washcloths daily. The Neutrogena Naturals line was my most used product for this Month. With the increase in temperatures, I am finding I do not need to moisturize overnight daily. Every other night works best for me. For my body, I have been using and loving the St. Ives Deep Restoring 24 Hr. Moisturizing Lotion. I am disappointed because when I read the ingredient list, I found parabens. My Holy Grail Moisturizer is Korres Body Butter! It's very pricey though. I am still on the hunt for a drugstore alternative.

FACE
I have been working to perfect the application of the MAC MatchMaster. I don't like to be defeated by anything. I also hate wasting money. My investment just has to pay off. I have been experimenting with different application methods...fingers, damp brush, damp sponge, less product. I think I finally settled on mixing the 7.0 with the 7.5 for the best results. It does last all day, but I am concerned that the effect looks like foundation. That typically is not the result I'm looking for. Although I reached for this foundation most often, my favorite remains the NARS Sheer Glow in MACAO.

EYES
I have been wearing very little eyeshadow if any for this month.
It seems quicker to get out of the house in a hurry with just Wet N Wild H20 Liquid Liner
and Urban Decay 24/7 Zero.
If I wanted a pop of color, I opted for a L'Oreal HIP Crayon set with matching eyeshadow.

CHEEKS
I have been loving Orange and Coral Cheeks.
I reached for MAC Ripe Peach, Milani MAI TAI, NARS Exhibit A and Taj Mahal most of all.

LIPS
I have been loving all things Orange, and Coral.
I sported
Revlon Siren, MUFE #40, and MAC So Chaud along with MAC Morange Lip Gloss.

ACCESSORIES
My go to earrings this month have been from a seller on etsy named Angel.
Her store is called LoveliiYou
I purchased three pairs of her fabric stud earrings. I find them to be simple and classy. They have been the perfect accent to complete my outfits. I plan on making more purchases. Look for a full review as well as a collection post in June.

I've acquired several polishes over the past few weeks.
I work hard to catch them on sale.

Milani (Buy $10 worth, get $4 Bonus Bucks)

Revlon (Rite Aid Buy 1 Get 1 50% off with $4 Up Rewards)

Gray Suede 705 (A interesting color, I thought to be sickly gray with the 1st coat, it improved with each additional coat. I ended up doing 3 to get it to look the way I wanted)

Posh Pink 912 (Slightly Frosty Bubble Gum Pink Visible Nail Line still present after 3 coats)

Nails Of The Day (NOTD) - Revlon MINTED

I am loving Revlon MINTED!

It reminds me of creamy sherbert.

I am so ready for Spring.

This formula was a little bit streaky after two coats. I used three for it to appear opaque. The result was a little bumpy because I was eager to get it opaque. I put too much polish on the brush. I was watching Celebrity Apprentice in my living room, so my lighting was not the best. Energy Saver bulbs are great for the enviornment, but terrible for painting nails.
I didn't realize it was bumpy until this morning. UGH!

Overall, I'm enjoying the color. The next time I use this I will take my time.

Indirect Sunlight Indoors No Flash

I think the colors create an interesting contrast against my brown skin.

e.l.f. Natural Radiance Blusher - REVIEW

I decided to route through my hardly used box of makeup. I am so glad that I did. It felt like I was shopping.
I stumbled upon my e.l.f. Natural Radiance Blusher collection.

These gems are very affordable for $1 each.

I purchased all the colors except for INNOCENCE which I thought would not show up on my MAC NC50 skintone. The lighter colors could easily be used for highlight or stacked over a darker blush.

These blushes give a subtle hint of color. Some are more pigmented than others.
When used with a cream base, I find they will last all day on me. The texture can be powdery. I like the convenience of the small packaging.

(Click on any image for larger viewing)

"This exquisite, delicate, pigment payoff makes cheeks radiant combined with a healthy-looking glow. Infused with texturizing agents, skin feels smooth and pores are minimized.

INGREDIENTS:
Talc, Mica, Paraffinium Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Zinc Stearate, Titanium Dioxide(CI 77891), Kaolin , Petrolatum Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Iron Oxides(CI 77491 , CI 77492 , CI 77499), Red No.6 Lake (CI 15850), Ultramarines (CI 77007)"

COY mauve with shimmer

FLUSHED bubble gum pink with shimmer

SHY soft matte baby pink

GLOW soft pinky - coral with micro fine shimmer

BRONZED gold with shimmer

I love them all.

I give these 4 out of 5 stars. Why 4? Used alone, these blushes do not have staying power. When stacked over a cream blush base, and set with translucent powder. For me, they work just fine. The powdery texture may be off putting to some. This could get pretty messy if you are not careful.
