MAC Yung Rapunxel Lipstick Plus a Less Expensive DUPE

I was excited to purchase this new dark lipstick from MAC Cosmetics when it launched on September 5, 2012.
When applied, this is patchy. You can build it up.
I would suggest using a lip brush. I did not use a liner for this look.

MAC's website says:
"Coming from the 212, rap ingĂ©nue Azealia Banks collaborates with M∙A∙C on Yung Rapunxel - a limited-edition Lipstick in a deep, rich shade of plum with an amplified finish."

This is currently sold out online. MAC may replenish stock soon, like they did with the
Candy Yum-Yum lipstick in August.

Of course, I knew I already owned a less expensive dupe. I perused the stash and voila!
NK Amethyst is a dead on dupe.
It retails for $1 US.
It can be purchased from beauty supply stores.
