Rustproof chrome plated inner and outer stand."

I bought this after having seen YouTube's Lovely
Kokofemme do a review on it.
She wears locks and was looking to maintain them at home.
Although I do not wear locks, I thought it would be great for me.
I have been using this dryer since February 2010.
My hubby assembled this for me. However I could have easily done it myself.
I use it primarily for deep conditioning and rollersets.
I like it because of it's portability. I can sit on my sofa or at my desk because of the adjustable pole.
I would give this product 4 out of 5 stars.
I gave it 4 stars because it does not come with a timer and the little "U" cord clips can be lost if you are not careful.

MAC Ruby Woo (Retro Matte) Lipstick VS. Less Expensive Dupes

                                                                                  MAC Ruby Woo

Performance - Packaging - Price

Swatched Center
MAC RUBY WOO = is a beautiful classic blue based matte red.
.1 oz or 3g
It can be a VERY drying on the lips. It's good to use a lip conditioner in advance.
That still didn't feel like it helped though.
- Smells like vanilla.
It cost $14.50. Standard MAC packaging for lipsticks.
- Has a steel base and a plastic cap.
- Has notches on the base to grasp the!

Swatched Left
Revlon REALLY RED 006 = a smooth application.

1.5 oz or 4.2g
Packaging is superior to the other two lipsticks.
Has a steel base and cap.
- Has notches to grasp the cap!
- Has a clear window on top so you can see the color.
No discernable scent.
MORE moisturizing than the MAC Ruby Woo.
It' is less expensive than the high end brand.
It retails for about $7 and is available at mass retailers and or drugstores.
Sometimes you can buy it for half price.
I got mine on clearance for a couple of dollars.

Swatched Right
NK RUBY RED 100 = more pigmented (bluer base) and more moisturizing than the other two shades.
No size indicated on packaging.
- Smells like rosewater.
- It can be mattified by using cornstarch or any transparent setting powder.
(Thanks to DiamondDiva for the tip)
- Has plastic base and cap.
Not very durable packaging, but it is good to be able to view the shade of lipstick.
- Has notches on the base to grasp the!
- It is available at beauty supply stores for $1.
This was more emollient than either of the above lipsticks. It has a different finish.
It is not matte.
Believe it or not, this was my favorite! Which one do you think looks best?

Throwback Nails Of The Day (NOTD) - Sally Hansen BROWNSTONE CREME

It is all the rage! The NEW Hotness! --- A Greige!

I love neutrals!

This borders on "Mannequin Hands" for me.
It's so unique, it's almost "UGLY". I still like it.

1x Base NK Ridge Filler
1x NK Fast Dry Top Coat
(All photos taken in indirect sunlight with flash unless otherwise noted)

I thought I was going to have to shop for this color.
Lo' and behold, I found it in my stash of oldies but goodies!

Do you have anything like this in your stash?

MAC 217 Brush - What's All the Hype?

I am a bargain shopper by nature. Even if I may have the money to buy a high end item, there is a checklist of prerequisites that must be met before I invest in it. That having been said, I did my due diligence researching the 217 brush. After careful consideration, I added it to my arsenal of brushes.

Website Promises

"For shading or blending of colour or creamy products. This brush has fine, densely packed fibers that are arranged in an oval shape. M·A·C professional brushes are hand-sculpted and assembled using the finest quality materials. They feature wood handles and nickel-plated brass ferrules."

I love this brush. I can achieve the same blending by using four other less expensive brushes.
However, I can complete an entire look using just this one brush. This saves me a lot of time.
That alone makes it worth the investment. I have been using it for a month.

Here's the breakdown

Shedding is minimal.
Washes well.
Can be used with creams and powders.
Light weight handle.

Stains, but one can educate one's self on the proper cleaning of this type of brush. A cleanse off oil may remove stains.
Price $22.50 OUCH!

If you invest in no other expensive eyeshadow brush, this is the one you MUST HAVE in your tool kit.
Do you own this brush? Is it on your Wish List?

Nails Of The Day (NOTD) - Wet N Wild Craze GOLDMINE

Welcome to all the new followers & thanks to all who have continued to support me even during my absence.
I am sharing Wet N Wild Craze GOLDMINE with you today.

It is very sheer. I had to apply 5 coats to get this to be opaque. It is still lovely. If you don't mind the 5 coats, I say find this and buy it. :O)
