(Part 1) NK HD Eyeshadow Collection with Swatches and REVIEW

I have had my eye on these eyeshadows since November 2009.
I kept talking myself out of buying them. How many eyeshadows does a woman need? After all, I only have two eyes. I broke down and bought a couple, and I have been hooked ever since. I have been trying to collect these eyeshadows for a couple of weeks now.

These beauties range in price from $1 US to $2 US depending on where you purchase them. I was able to find them at my local ethnic beauty supply store.

So far, I only have 15. I do believe there are about 32 colors in total.
Some of the colors have been discontinued. Of course, this limited edition situation is what prompted me to buy them while I still can.

I have no doubts that some of these can be used as blush!

NK did not assign names to the colors, only numbers.

The texture of the shadows is very buttery. The intensity of the pigmentation is AMAZING! I suppose the secret to their soft texture is the addition of KAOLIN in the ingredient list. I would give these 4 out of 5 stars. Some colors are harder to work with than others. The matte shades are not as easily blended as the shimmers.
Overall, they are beautiful alone, but more stunning with the appropriate base.

Nails Of The Day - Color Club Bizerk Turq and NK Green Apple

The NK Green Apple has a fish scale quality that really intrigued me.
I was disappointed to find out it was uber sheer. I laid down a creamy opaque turquoise base and hoped for the best. The kicker is, I was so sleepy, I ended up with bedsheet nails. LOL I'll definately re-do this when I am not sleepy. It was so pretty! I need to pick up a can of that DeMert Instant dry stuff. I haven't used it in decades, but it really made quick work of polish. I used to also use the Sally Hansen Insta-dry. I could have sworn by that stuff. I have fallen off of my quick dry game.

Yield for Yellow - Nails Of The Day - NK Amarillo and Revlon Banana Blaze

These show stopping, POPPING yellow nails will have people breaking their necks for a double take!

I LOVE the contrast against my brown skin. They would set off a Nautical outfit, or compliment animal print or a billowy maxi-dress.

The NK Amarillo is cool and creamy! It only took 2 coats to get the perfect opacity.

The Revlon Banana Blaze warmed things up a bit. Can you see the gold flecks?

Nails Of The Day - e.l.f. Fire Coral and NK Pink Diamond

"Borderline OBNOXIOUS", these bright coral shades are not for the conservative.
Guaranteed to make your toes pop, poolside or on the boardwalk!
These look fabulous against tanned or brown skin!

Base
3 Fire Coral
2 Pink Diamond on top of the Fire Coral on the ring finger & pinky only.
Clear Top Coat

I know it seems like a lot, but the Pink Diamond is kind of sheer and I wanted the Fire Coral to serve as a base color.

I took these photos on day 2 of having worn these polishes! I think they held up pretty well, considering all of the chores and cooking I have done.

All photos were shot under diffused natural sunlight without flash.

Do you like orange or coral nail polish?

NOTD Alternating Shades of Gold

NK Flamboyant, NK 24kt

I am loving this alternating trend, staying within the same color family.
I think that makes it look more sophisticated. It's still a fun look!

My nails grow so fast, it's ridiculous! UGH. I prefer an active length. I'm finding myself having to trim them 2x a week! ARGH!

With NK Infinity Glitter On Top

NK is a New York, USA based Cosmetics Company.
I bought each of these for $1 from my local beauty supply store.
