LOVE HER!
I was so proud of Korto on season 5 of Project Runway.
Apparently producers found her talented enough to include her
in the Project Runway All Star Challenge.
Both times she made it to the final two contestants.
I feel like she was ROBBED!
She celebrates the female form in a way that is quite flattering.
Korto is exposing the world to vivid color with her African inspired designs.
I'd love to buy some of her clothes.

What's funny is, I'm new to Project Runway and immediately fell in love with the show. As I watched all star show, I also felt as though she was robbed! I've seen so many unbelievably talented black designers but none of them have made the cut! Things that make you go hmmmm!
ReplyDeleteIDK if I'm BIASED b/c as I am partially from Korto's culture, her designs appeal to me more. I would love to add that I felt her collection was COHESIVE! Not only that, each piece was well executed. She didn't take a ton of risk with her red carpet look as far as design. But her seams were on point. Her designs did not LOOK HOMEMADE. They were well finished. Very well thought out. I guess that is why I feel like she was ROBBED. I appreciated everyone's contribution to the all-star show. I guess it is like not coming in 1st place on American Idol. Somex you make out better. (Jennifer Hudson) Look @ Jeffrey. He WON & got the seed $, right? But it seemed that he fell off during the All Star Challenge, right? Like maybe something was distracting him.??? I was expecting MORE. I also loved Uli's work. I felt she did an awesome job as well.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Korto was definitely ROBBED!! Her collection was very well thought out and put together. She executed her vision FLAWLESSLY! Everything she show was so Beautiful and something I would absolutely wear. She celebrates the woman's body and shape and I really appreciate that!!
