Nails Of The Day (NOTD) China Glaze FOR AUDREY and SNOW GLOBE

This was a hastily applied mani. I applied 3 coats of color over China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base and sealed everything with 1 coat of Seche Vite. I opted to layer China Glaze SNOW GLOBE and Sinful Colors OPAL GLITTER for accent nails.
I usually do my manis at about 3am.
I do my nails at my desk because it is the perfect height and I have sufficient light. Seche Vite affords me the opportunity to crawl back into bed and not get sheet prints.
I would love to change my polish at least twice weekly. I have been making more of a concerted effort in changing the colors. It is a challenge because of life's priorities.

How often do you change your polish?
Do you own any of these colors?

This is a beautiful mid tone blue with flecks of light blue shimmer.
I used 3 coats for this application, although I could have gotten away with only 2.

Nails Of The Day (NOTD) - China Glaze - FOUR LEAF CLOVER

This is a vibrant Kelly Green Cream,
athough this is reading more teal in the photographs.
I tried to correct this by shooting in my Olympus 720SW's "Cuisine mode" and adjusting the White Balance.

I have a weakeness for greens.

There was a time in my life when I would have never touched a green or blue nail polish.
One needs to have confidence to rock such bold colors.
It seems as if these are the main colors for which I have been reaching as of late. Although I wore this today with my Enamel Green t-shirt and staple leopard print scarf, I prefer not to be so matchy matchy with my outfits.
I like for the nail polish to compliment the outfit instead.

This was a dream to apply.

I was impatient about allowing each coat to dry before adding the next one.
It was opaque with just two coats.
I am just used to applying three.
It was hastily applied before running errands today.

Base: China Glaze Strong Adhesion

Color: China Glaze FOUR LEAF CLOVER
Top Coat: Seche Vite

NOTD - China Glaze - SEA SPRAY

Indoors, with flash
This is a pretty pearly Gray-ish Light Blue.
Base Coat: None
Three coat application.
Top Coat: NK Express Dry

Indirect sunlight, no flash

I think this would be complimentary to Nautical or White outfits during warmer months. It is a very sophisticated color.

NOTD - China Glaze - LIFE PRESERVER

Indirect sunlight, no flash
This is a soft creamy Terra Cotta Orange.
I think it is perfect for Spring and Summer.
It is a little more muted than a bold Orange.
This is two coats without a base nor top coat.

Nail Polish Haul

Are you excited about warmer weather? I am!
I love wearing opentoed shoes and showing off my pedicure. I have been trying not to buy makeup.
Nail polish doesn't count right?
Swatches coming soon!

These beauties are from China Glaze Spring 2011 Collection.
There are 12 in total. I only selected ones I thought would compliment my skintone. I prefer opaque shades.

The next group are some from my wish list.

Diva Bride (Pale Pink cream),
Naked (Coral w/ shimmer),
Rich and Famous (Blue based Pink Cream),
Fifth Avenue (Light Mauve Cream),
Pool Party (Neon Pink),
Ruby Pumps (Apple Red Glitter),
Four Leaf Clover (Kelly Green Cream),
Recycle (Steel Gray Cream)

I bought these Sinful Colors from a limited edition display at Walgreens. It was a complete impulse buy. There were a few more colors, but I liked these best. I believe the theme is inspired by Greece.
The light green with shimmer is called OLYMPIA.
The beautiful blue color is called GRECIAN SUN.

Have you purchased any nail polish lately?
