NARS claims "A lightweight primer that creates a seamless canvas that keeps cream and powder eye color looking brilliant, fresh, and just-applied all day.
This smudge-proof eye shadow base uses a unique polymer and mineral powder blend to get a firm grip on color for long-lasting, gorgeous wear. Fortified with a special deep-sea extract and an antioxidant rice extract, it dries on contact and keeps the delicate eye lid smooth and ready for eye shadow application.
This fragrance-free product is ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested."
I agree with their claims!
This is my new holy grail eyeshadow base.
My eyelids are super oily!
This is the only product that I can use that actually keeps the oil at bay, lets eyeshadow adhere and makes colors pop. I have gotten 10 hours of wear without creasing using this product! It is a bit pricey at $24 for just .26oz. I bought mine from the NARS website, however, it is available on Sephora's website as well as drugstore.com. Although the product is white coming out of the tube, it goes on clear. Very little product is needed to achieve favorable results.
It has a doe foot applicator. The packaging is not ideal. Urban Decay listened to it's consumers by making their primer available in a tube. Aside from the high price, I would say this is the only drawback to this product. A little goes a long way and I have not finished the product.
I found it to be compatible with both drugstore and high end eyeshadows. I have used it as a primary base as well as alone just to keep the oil from greasing up my lids while wearing just eyeliner. Yes, I would definitely purchase this product again and highly recommend it to others.
Have you ever tried this product?

I usually use Urban Decay Primer Potion but lately it hasn't been working as good as usual. I may have to pick this up.
ReplyDeleteI rec'd a small sample bottle of UDPP during colder months from a friend. It worked really well, but not as well as the NARS.
DeleteThanks for your comment Erica.

ReplyDeleteI love this too Sher! Thanks for your support.
Deletei haven't tried this and not quite ready to leave my faithful udpp. thanks for letting us know that this works tho!
ReplyDeleteI do understand the brand loyalty thing. I found this works better for me than UDPP. I appreciate your visit & your comment.
DeleteMiss your food blog, still go to it for inspiration. I wasn't too into udpp, it dried up way too quickly. Like the review, price a little steep though. My nyxx pencil is working but oily at times may have to splurge on this but first i'd like a sample. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI miss blogging too abt the food. I haven't really been inspired. I haven't been doing much cooking. I did a vegan thing for 21 days last Sept. I work crazy hours & my family uses the blog as a resource for making favorite recipies. I don't know which direction I will take it. I am glad that you are inspired by older posts. Thanks for sharing that.
DeletePrice was biggest obstacle for me. But the oily lids were def a problem. I did splurge as well & am not looking back. Thanks for your visit, comment & support.
I'm trying the MUFE one now.
ReplyDeleteBut this sounds good :)
