Plaid, Can You Pull It Off?

Baby Phat (plus size)

I haven't seen plaid in style since the late 1980's - early 1990's.
"LUMBERJACK jacket with the hat to match" anyone?

Plaid is traditionally seen as a strong menswear pattern.
You may be able to rock this pattern with a few feminine tweaks.

PLAID = any fabric woven of differently colored yarns in a crossbarred pattern.

Bold patterns can be a bit overwhelming for me.
A solid wide belt to cinch the waist feminizes the lumberjack effect.

For even more feminine appeal, consider a sheer flowy fabric like silk.

Look for tailored woven tops to flatter your figure.

Consider a CRISP white blouse or a solid turtleneck with a patterned skirt.

If you are not confident or bold enough to get in on this trend by wearing a shirt/blouse. Why not consider wearing solids with just a couple of plaid accessories.

Remember to ask yourself, "Am I wearing this outfit, or is it wearing me?"
You don't want to come off cartoonish or costumey.

- Keep it simple.
