Lips Of The Day (LOTD) - Featuring Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Love - OUTLAW

I'm a sucker for lip products.
I am in love with MATTE lippies.
I do love the option of being able to add gloss to change the look of a matte lip product.

Kat Von D
Everlasting Liquid Love OUTLAW

I saw a video on YouTube featuring LakiaStar using this.

Wear Time was about 4 hours straight with no feathering or transfer.
When I drank some water, the product began to transfer.
It felt like my lips were beginning to dry at the 6 hour mark.
I would suggest taking the product with you if you want to do any touch ups.

The product came in a black box. The tube was actually glued to the inside of the box. I had to wipe off the glue. That was a little bit annoying. I do like the sleek tube.

This product retails for $19 US at Sephora.

Do you like matte lips?
Would you purchase it?

Sephora WaterProof Eye MakeUp Remover - REVIEW

I first tried a deluxe sample from Sephora.
I so impressed by this affordable product, that I decided to purchase a larger size.
(1.69 oz $6) I was unaware that there is an even larger size available for purchase.
(4.2 oz $9.50)

PROS
  • Formulated without parabens or fragrance.
  • Removes even the most stubborn waterproof makeup.
  • Affordable
CONS
None

Before use, you will need to shake this product because it separates.
It comes with a plastic stopper which allows just a little bit of liquid to come out of the container.

Initially I saturated a cotton pad with product and let it rest on my eyelids to remove a deep smokey look.
The product was removed with minimal effort. Almost daily I use Wet N Wild H20 Proof Liquid Liner for my top lids. I knew that if this product could remove that without irritation, I would probably be purchasing it again. For now, this is my Holy Grail Eye makeup Remover. I have since ditched the cotton pads and replaced them with cotton swabs. This will help me to get more use out of my product.

Have you tried this product? Do you use cotton pads or cotton swabs for removal of your eye makeup?

Depotting vs. Custom Palette Purchase

Much ado has been made regarding depotting eyeshadows from makeup enthusiasts.
On Temptalia's blog (temptalia.com), she demonstrated the EASE of depotting Make Up For Ever single shadows.
The current promotion from Sephora
(buy 3 single pan shadow/blush get an empty palette free) is very tempting indeed. Provided of course one can recover from the sticker shock of the shadow/blush.
Priced at $19 a piece & up, they are not for the tightwad.

People on the Temptalia message board complained about the work & risk involved with depotting MAC shadows/blushes. Apparently, MAC was listening!
MAC recently added a feature to their website where customers can drag & click products to create custom eyeshadow & blush palettes.
They range in price from

$47.50 (quad)
$177.00 (15 shadows)
$105.00 (blushes)

While this seems super convenient, I am sure there are some die hards who will be bent on continuing to depot their own products so they can back 2 mac the empties for free lippies or eyeshadows.
I recently went on a depotting FRENZY! Yes, I depotted all of my existing Milani eyeshadows. I also tested to see if my L'Oreal HiP duos would fit in my auraline palettes. They are a perfect fit with a little room left to pry the shadows loose without risking gouging my precious products. I also found out that Prestige eyeshadows fit in the auraline palettes as well!

The empty palettes are $5.25 each for both the 15 pan(36mm)/& 28 pan (28mm) size (check sale items). Their normal price is $7 Be forewarned that they are NOT plastic like many of the other palettes. They are constructed of a highgrade cardboard. They are magnetized as well. I found them super easy to clean. I also own the Coastal Scents empty 15 palette. The CS palette has foam which traps the minute particles of fall out, making for a very challenging cleanup for the palette.

AURALINE BEAUTY empty 15 palette
$5.25

I'm overjoyed. I'm ever eager to make an additional palette purchase so I can streamline my storage system.
