I love to shop my stash! I have been lemming Ben Nye's banana powder forever. I am reluctant to pay shipping. The advantage to using it, is it isn't as HARSH as white powder when the flashbulbs go off.
I got this bright idea to combine my Coastal Scents Silica Spheres with a couple of MAC Pigments from my collection. I used 1/3 cup of the silica spheres, and 1 tsp each of MAC Primary Yellow and Chrome Yellow Pigments.
I have yet to perfect the application process, but that is the fun of playing in makeup.
I used a sponge today. I will try a brush tomorrow. I neglected to dust off the excess powder before setting with spray. I still plan to purchase the BEN NYE Banana Powder. This experiment wasn't a total failure. I say that because it was a learning experience.
Always a clown, I never take myself so seriously that I can't post a BAD picture of myself. If I can help someone learn, then I've accomplished something. I hope this was helpful to someone.

I was crushed when I accidentally dropped my Jesse's Girl MOONBEAM baked eyeshadow. They are FRAGILE! For the longest time, I was reluctant to repair it because I did not want to lose the cool marble effect. The cracked shadow was messy.
I used my Coastal Scents EZ Press. I like it, but I hate the bottle top. It's a click button dispenser like a shampoo bottle. I would have preferred an eyedropper for more accurate formulation when pressing pigments etc.

With Back To School season looming on the horizon, I'm taken back to a time when I was so excited to own a 64 box of Crayola crayons. When I was a child, this was the largest size. It symbolized so much to me. The possibilities were endless. I loved the names of the crayons. Even to this day, I describe color based on that 64 box. Burnt Sienna anyone?
I think I get more excited about shopping for school supplies for my children then they do. That was a part of why I was so excited to finally acquire the 88 palette a few months back. I recently blogged that I was becoming disenchanted with my 88 palette because the colors seemed to fade quickly no matter what kind of base I used. I've recently come to learn that is the nature of matte shadow. Ahhhhh YES! This sparked a renewed interest in my 88 palette once again. It was sitting in a drawer, unused. I do have so much makeup, I often forget that the 88 palette is hiding out patiently waiting for me to dive in & use it!
The palette comes with a small miroor in the lid. It also has two double ended sponge tip applicators. My favorite colors are the greens, darker pinks, teals & vibrant/darker blues. Many of the soft pastel colors do not show up on my skin. (NC43)
